Talha Kalsoom and Michal Novotný represented our team at the conference IEEE NAP-2026!
Our colleagues Michal Novotný and Talha Kalsoom participated in the international conference IEEE NAP 2026 – Nanomaterials: Applications & Properties, held from 6 to 11 September 2026 in Budva, Montenegro.
Michal Novotný presented a scientific talk entitled “High-throughput study of mixed-termination effects in MXenes: from electronic structure to transport.” His presentation focused on the effects of different combinations of MXene surface terminations on their electronic structure and transport properties, investigated using computational methods.
Talha Kalsoom presented her research entitled “Effect of different surface terminations and single atom catalyst on MXene’s reactivity for water dissociation: A density functional theory investigation.” Her work focuses on the effects of different surface terminations and single-atom catalysts on the reactivity of MXenes during water dissociation, investigated using density functional theory (DFT) methods.
For both researchers, the conference provided an opportunity to present their research, discuss scientific topics with other researchers working in the field of nanomaterials, and learn about current developments in the field. It also offered valuable opportunities to exchange experience and establish new professional connections.
Congratulations on the successful presentations, and thank you for representing our research team at an international conference!
